Raised in an environment where his mother was the sole high school graduate, Mr. Borowinski initially had no plans for college or law school. After graduating from high school, he joined the U.S. Army during peacetime, intending to serve for twenty years and retire. However, tragedy struck at the age of nineteen when his mother succumbed to cancer. In honor of her legacy and her passion for education and the law, Mr. Borowinski redirected his path. His quest for knowledge led him to Middlesex County College, where he earned an associate degree with Honors. Breaking ground as the first in his family to achieve an associate degree, he continued to set milestones, obtaining a B.A. from Rutgers College and a Juris Doctor. Remarkably, on his first attempt, he passed both the New York and New Jersey Bar exams with such distinction that he was eligible to waive into the prestigious Washington DC Bar.

RAOUL BUSTILLO, ESQ.

Raoul Bustillo honed his litigation skills as a Hudson County Prosecutor.  In 2002, Mr. Bustillo left the public sector to help form Koles, Burke & Bustillo, LLP.  For the next 17 years, Mr. Bustillo represented the seriously injured with great skill, good judgment and sincere compassion, whether his clients were injured in car accidents, ceiling collapses, trucking accidents, warehouse accidents, construction and demolition mishaps, or as a result of any other type of negligent conduct.

In June of 2019, Mr. Bustillo formed his own practice, the Law Offices of Raoul Bustillo, LLC, so that he could prepare and try cases the way he believes is best.  Early on in the process, Mr. Bustillo will assemble a team of experts to work on your case.

He hires highly-respected engineers, architects and occupational safety experts to identify individuals and businesses who may be to blame for your harms and losses.  Then he focuses on quantifying your economic losses by retaining vocational experts and accountants.  These men and women can calculate reductions in lifetime earnings due to injuries, which should almost always be presented as a separate element of their harms and losses.  Lastly, Mr. Bustillo will tell the story of your pain, suffering and loss of enjoyment of life through doctors who can explain your injuries, medical illustrators who can depict your injuries and lay witnesses–friends, family  members and co-workers– who have seen your day-to-day struggle to regain your life after a tragedy.

SHAWN WALLACH, ESQ.

For more than twenty-five years, Shawn Wallach has represented clients in complex litigation throughout New York and New Jersey, helping individuals navigate some of the most challenging moments of their lives. His practice has focused almost exclusively on personal injury and complex litigation matters.

Shawn has built his career on the principle that clients deserve both exceptional legal representation and direct access to their attorney. He understands that after an accident, clients are often dealing with pain, lost income, and uncertainty about the future. By staying accessible and maintaining regular communication throughout the legal process, he works to ensure his clients feel supported and confident in the handling of their case.

Prior to joining The Haddad Law Firm, Shawn served as Managing Partner of his own litigation practice and later as General Counsel for a national staffing agency with operations across multiple states. This varied background gives him firsthand insight into how insurance companies, corporations, and defense counsel evaluate claims and litigation risk — insight he now uses to advocate for injured clients.

Over the course of his career, Shawn has handled a wide range of matters involving motor vehicle accidents, trucking and commercial vehicle collisions, premises liability, catastrophic injuries, and wrongful death claims. In the aftermath of Superstorm Sandy, he represented hundreds of home and business owners in coastal regions of New York and New Jersey who had been underpaid by their insurance carriers.

Shawn has also spent years working closely with physicians, medical specialists, and expert witnesses. His experience reviewing medical records and understanding complex medical issues allows him to effectively present the full impact an injury has on a client's life and future.

Having been raised in New York and living in New Jersey throughout his career, Shawn has deep ties to the communities he serves. Outside the office, he enjoys spending time with his family and remains active in local politics in Monmouth County.
