WILLIAM J. BOROWINSKI

WILLIAM J. BOROWINSKI

Mr. Borowinski grew up in a blue-collar household in central New Jersey. He had no plans to attend college or law school. He came from a humble background where only his mother graduated high school. Mr. Borowinski joined the U.S. Army after graduating high school and served during peace time. He intended on serving twenty-years and retiring. However, at nineteen-years of age, while serving in the Army, his mother died of cancer. Due to this tragedy, and his mother's love of education and the law, he turned his mind toward a different path in an effort to honor her memory. He attended Middlesex County College and earned an Associate's Degree with Honors. He was the first in his family to receive an Associate's Degree, the first to receive a B.A. from Rutgers College, and the first to receive a Juris Doctorate. On his first attempt, he passed both the New York and New Jersey Bar exams, scoring high enough that he was eligible to waive into the prestigious Washington DC Bar. He presently is admitted to the New York State Bar, State and Federal New Jersey Bars, and the Third Circuit Court of Appeals. He will bring that same hard fought tenacity and determination to bear when he fights for you. Mr. Borowinski has been representing clients in personal injury and workers' compensation matters for over 24 years. Mr. Borowinski uses his valuable insight and experience to develop strategies that resulted in significant recoveries for his clients in cases involving trip and falls, snow and ice, medical malpractice, car accidents, product liability, employment cases, discrimination cases, and other personal injury matters including complex litigation. Where other attorneys saw little chance of recovery, Mr. Borowinski was able to see a case that had value and merit. Mr. Borowinski is a trial attorney with numerous trials and has settled thousands of Personal Injury and Workers' Compensation cases and brought his knowledge to The Haddad Law Firm.

CANDICE E. IHEME, ESQ.
TRIAL ATTORNEY

Experience

Ms. Iheme is a first-generation American. She never planned to attend law school. She graduated from Rutgers University-New Brunswick, cum laude, with a Bachelors in Economics (minor in Psychology). During college, she was offered a full-time position with a Fortune 500 insurance company. Upon graduation, she worked as an Auto Damage Claims Adjuster handling a mix of personal and commercial property damage and bodily injury claims. As an adjuster, she realized that several clients had no idea what insurance benefits they were entitled to. This inspired her to go to law school so that she could advocate for those who could not properly advocate for themselves.

Ms. Iheme attended Rutgers Law School in Newark. While there, she served as a Graduate Resident Assistant, Chair of the Moot Court Board, a LexisNexis Research Assistant, and as a Clinical Law Student with the Rutgers Education and Health Law Clinic. Ms. Iheme graduated with over 600 pro bono hours, all dedicated to assisting indigent families who had children with special needs. Ms. Iheme also completed internships at the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey, and in the Essex County Superior Court- Criminal Division. She was selected as the 2021 Commencement Speaker and awarded for excellence in work on behalf of women and children.

After law school, Ms. Iheme successfully completed an appointment as a judicial clerkship at the Essex County Superior Court. Following her clerkship, she joined an AMLaw100 Firm, serving in its Litigation Department.

Currently, Ms. Iheme handles a mix of pre-litigation and litigation personal injury cases. She is committed to fighting for justice for her clients and ensuring that her clients get what they deserve and are entitled to.

VERONICA R. MEDINA, ESQ.
ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY

Ms. Medina graduated from Montclair State University, cum laude, with a double concentration of Bachelor of Arts in Justice Studies and Paralegal Studies (minors in Environmental Justice and Family Justice). In college, she was inspired by a professor to attend law school while working on an environmental justice project that involved the study of lead poisoning in inner cities. Since then, she wanted to advocate for people in need. While in college, she interned as a family legal assistant in a sole-practitioner law firm.

Ms. Medina attended Rutgers Law School in Newark, New Jersey. During her law school career, she worked as a Lexis Student Representative and a Lexis Social Specialist, where she assisted numerous students daily with their research assignments. She became a published author from the Rutgers Computer and Technology Law Journal in Spring of 2020. She also interned at a health law corporation, at the Bergen County Courthouse, and the Child Advocacy Clinic. In addition, she worked as Secretary for the Public Interest Law Student Association. Ms. Medina graduated with over 600 pro bono hours.

After law school, Ms. Medina successfully completed a family law clerkship at the Morris County Superior Court, where she handled family and matrimonial disputes. Following her clerkship, she worked as a litigator for plaintiffs’ personal injury claims and with personal injury protection arbitration litigation disputes. Alongside working as a litigator, Ms. Medina worked as a networking attorney and connected with over 100 business owners to increase business for a sole-practitioner’s law firm. Then, she worked as a litigator for insurance defense litigation, which gives her a unique background of seeing both perspectives of arguments in personal injury litigation. Currently, Ms. Medina works as co-manager and handles litigation for personal injury cases. She enjoys helping those in need during difficult times in their lives and advocating on their behalf.

Digital Journal wrote how, “trials still happen, juries still come up with verdicts, and the courtroom can still be a place where cross-examination of a witness occurs. That’s the moment Brett Rosen Shines.” The Good Men Project noted, “[w]ith this case, Rosen has proved himself yet again as an exceptional criminal defense attorney who can win no matter how difficult the circumstances.”
